Have you heard of Warren Leruth? Probably so... and you more than likely remember his famous Oyster Artichoke Soup (Products) or his Crabmeat St. Francis (Products).

Warren is the chef who revolutionized New Orleans Cuisine when he opened LeRuth's Restaurant in Gretna in 1966 and made history (History)

Now you can make these delicious recipes at home with LeRuth's Gourmet Foods. Available at a store or farmers market near you (Vendors)!



  • It is an Artichoke soup base and is sold frozen (16oz).

  • Mix the defrosted base with 16oz of water and obtain 32oz of deliciousness.

  • Serving size is 2 entrees or 4 appetizers. (2 bowls or 4 cups)

  • Add fresh oysters to the soup if you wish. Oysters should blanced in oyster liquior for 2-3 minutes, then chopped. Place oysters with liquor into hot soup and stir.
